Job Description:
A The-Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Regional Manager is responsible for sustaining and growing new business.
The OEM Regional Manager manages and supports all activities related to assigned customers.
This position interfaces with Grote functional departments such as Marketing, Customer Services, Quality, Manufacturing, Business Development Managers, and Engineering.
Similar interface is maintained with corresponding customer functions.
In addition, concentrated interface is maintained with customer's purchasing, engineering, production, quality, and sales departments.
Responsible for accurate, timely departmental paperwork submittals, as well as quarterly customer sales forecast projections to support corporate objectives and profitability.
Travel is part of this position with up to 75% travel anticipated.
It is expected the home base will be centrally located in the Southern California Region.
Responsibilities:
An OEM Regional Manager is responsible for assessment and appraisal of sales methods and systems in terms of augmenting company sales goals.
Provides quarterly customer forecasts, with monthly updates.
Immediate updates when there is a change - positive or negative.
Assures timely execution and communication of project, product and relationship issues between assigned customer(s) and Grote.
Provides weekly or monthly progress reports as needed on project implementation.
Negotiates piece part pricing on new products and pricing revisions as applicable.
Brings new ideas for Grote to consider.
Documents the latest trends in lighting/electrical systems.
Anticipates the market needs and ahead of the competition.
Provides on-site representation for new vehicle launches, performance concerns, etc.
Persistently seeking new growth opportunities.
Demonstrating a high level of support, visibility at the customer, and expertise in providing product solutionsManaging the pipeline of sales opportunities for the assigned customers.
Demonstrating excellence in employing the best sales practices, overcoming objections, and negotiation.
Qualification:
An OEM Regional Manager requires Bachelor's degree in engineering, marketing, or other suitable area of focus.
